Wyn joined the family business in 1957 and in 1968 stayed on as Managing Director when the company was sold to Lockwoods Foods. Together with 2 other directors Wyn bought the company back and continued as Managing Director, then Chairman.

As befits his long and loyal service in the industry, Wyn has extensive experience of the food industry. His other business interests include a boat yard, property portfolio and landfill site.

Wyn was High Sheriff of Gwynedd in 1995 and is Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Gwynedd, Vice-Chair of the Caernarfon Harbour Trust and Chair of the Tax Commissioners.
